Alan Trench writes : "(Yeats') Dance’ was part of the ‘Ferns’ ep that never was … as was ‘Whaler’s Lament’ – which eventually came out (in a different version) on ‘A Dream’ by Orchis. ‘Dance’ I think may have been on some compilation or other, but I don’t remember… the second John Barleycorn one? (.. JOHN BARLEYCORN REBORN : REBIRTH carried the song THISTLES by 12000 DAYS - Martyn) . ‘Hunting The Greenland Whale’ was also on ‘Ferns’". ( ... HUNTING will be out next month, as an 'extra" accompanying the band camp d/l release of FIELD'S END ETC (ie various other 12’000 DAYS experiments & versions - Martyn) .
