1.
* PLANET CARAVAN . we sail/thru endless skies/stars shine like eyes/the black night sighs/the moon/in silver trees/falls down in tears/light of the night/the earth/a purple blaze/of sapphire haze/in orbit always/while down below the trees/bathed in cool breeze/silver starlight/breaks down the night/and so/we pass on by/the crimson eye/of great god mars/as we travelled/the universe . Mellotron, Bass, Guitar – ALAN TRENCH Vox, Hammered Dulcimer – MARTYN BATES Written By – Ward/Butler/Osbourne/Iommi
2.
* CORAL . they had come from a place high on coral hills/where the light from the white sea fills the soil/with ascending grace/and the sound their power makes/motion as steep as the sky/in a season of delicate rain/in a smooth ascension of grace/they had come/and they had gone again/and the fruits of the great ground lie like leaves/from a vertical flower/with ascending grace . (dan jones/dylan thomas) Guitars, Tsouras, Synths – ALAN TRENCH Vox, Whistle – MARTYN BATES poem by Dan Jones, Dylan Thomas .
3.
ADAM & THE BEASTS . when Adam stood beyond the gates of eden/with eve huddled weeping by his side/he looked out & he saw the new creation/with streams & woods & valleys deep & wide/the flying fish & killer sharks that wandered in the sea/the lion cub the antelope that walked beneath the tree/ & he asked God - where among the beast will I belong? - no answer came, only sweet bird song . . he startled the roe dear drinking by the river/they turned & ran & Adam watched them go/the ruffled water settled to a mirror/Adam leaned & found his face below/& he saw the gentle lips that were parted in surprise, the undefended beauty of the wide-open eyes/& he asked God - will I be gentle like the dear?-no answer came, but the birds sang clear . . he followed down the river to the seashore/he saw fish with colours strong and bright/& he longed to move as they moved in the water/& be clothed like them in rainbow-coloured light/& as he watched, he saw that they were making cruel war/battling for food & fighting to divide the ocean floor/ & he asked God, Lord will I fight like one of these?-only the birds sang in the silence from the trees . . & the rock whispered - "when lions fight each other/they win their ground & then they live in peace/but one beast shall hunt to kill his brother/man whose wars will never cease/for God made the beasts but the rock will fashion man/God leaves you gentle until the axe is in your hand/now go to your wife where she's labouring in pain/& the child she delivers, call him Cain" . Percussion, Synths, Voice,Guitars, Organ – ALAN TRENCH Vox, Guitar [Guitars] – MARTYN BATES song composed by Alasdair Clayre arr. by TWELVE THOUSAND DAYS

Drakestones 05:30
* DRAKESTONES . blind guest, a deceiver/the bone mill far behind/no ermine clad wand’rer /the world sinks in the green/the drakestones still stand/peaceful child of desire/father of war, and of all/a threnody all in memoriam/snow falls purer than rain/the drakestones still stand/they still stand . Guitars, Bass, Mellotron, Vox – ALAN TRENCH Vox – MARTYN BATES

King Dog 03:59
* KING DOG . you came up to my mountain/you were looking for a place to go/and I was so pleased to see you/oh how was I to know …/king dog walks the highway/in the height of the noon/and his teeth are pearls/ and his claws are steel/& his eyes shine like the moon/I saw him in the valley/I saw I him in the fold/I saw him in the churchyard/where he tried to steal my soul/you showed me all the human skins hanging from the door/you took me to pool where you had drowned some years before . Guitar – ALAN TRENCH Piano, Vox – MARTYN BATES Written-By – Bob Pegg arr. by TWELVE THOUSAND DAYS .

* WOLVES UPON THE PLAIN . on your eyelids the jewels shine/like the flowers that are strewn upon the plain/and they shine, the heavens shine/and the lambs that are burned upon the spit/circle round like the wolves upon the plain/scattered blooms in the ruins and the stones/falling down like the sand inside the glass/and they shine, the heavens shine . More 05:53
* MORE . where the far garlands are/where the colours are wet with paint/where the circling stars frame the flowers that we dress and drape/where the sway of the seas/steers the summer to a stronger day/where these limits of ours/break the bonds/we break the bonds/further the day/marry the day/garland the day/ further the day/marry the day/be the day . Field's End 06:11
* FIELD’S END . stood within this tower/at field’s end delivered/will you share this hour/here beside what’s given/and the seas ride up the skies/and the stars fill yr eyes/I dream the rain’s long answer/I dream the sun’s responses/I dream of sighs and shivers/beyond, within & forward/and I sigh/and I know why/and this moment is my living/this moment’s for my love/I’m sighing as I’m breathing/I’ll breathe as I’m arriving/and, I arrive/and I feel so alive . Guitars – ALAN TRENCH Vox, Guitar – MARTYN BATES

* black mountain side : no voices calling on black mountain side/the door stands open/the door is closed/a light upon the hearth conceals the standing silent stone/the wind is blowing on black mountain side/the trees unmoving stand bowed and sere/first there are footsteps/then there are none/all the world stands waiting for the rising of the moon/as from the distance/on black mountain side/metal on metal leather on stone/and when the skin is flayed from the bone/a thousand thousand tiny hearts/together beat as one/the sun has shadows on black mountain sides/the tumult rises and all is silent/if time if kind well then we might catch the tide/the sands begin to run before our race is done . Mellotron, Percussion, Synths, Guitars, Vox – ALAN TRENCH Vox, Keybds, Synth – MARTYN BATES
