Songs Settings Of James Joyce's Poems .

THIS album of mostly acappella pieces (in hindsight) appears to me now as being some kind of heightened experience: physically & mentally exhilarating - being (mostly) cut live to DAT, done as a performance of sorts. Of course, the tunes/ideas/instrumentation/feel/ styles of approach/etc had all been pretty much meticulously worked out before hand, oh yes - with some of the instrumental "passage pieces" being injected to make for a more rounded listening experience overall. It was a joy, pure pleasure to sing & live inside Joyce's beauteous hymning : sumptuous, delicious sensuality!

What more can I say .

CHAMBER MUSIC (volume 1) was first issued on the 23rd of December 1994 on Sub Rosa .

An Ambivalent Scale recording.
